Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Meepleaf, a board game rules assistant made by Ellie Lu ("we", "us"). By using Meepleaf, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Using Meepleaf
- You can use Meepleaf without an account. If you sign in, keep access to your email or Apple/Google account secure: anyone who can sign in to it can use your Meepleaf account.
- Don't misuse Meepleaf: no attempts to break, overload or get around its limits, no automated scraping, and nothing illegal or harmful in what you send.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Meepleaf.
Answers can be wrong
Meepleaf's answers are written by AI from rulebooks and other sources, and they can be incomplete or wrong. Check the rulebook (Meepleaf cites the pages it used) when it matters. Answers are for playing games, and not professional advice of any kind.
Your content
Your questions, photos and recordings stay yours. You give us permission to use them to provide Meepleaf to you (for example, sending them to the services listed in our Privacy Policy to produce answers). You can delete them at any time from the app.
Games and rulebooks
Board games, their names and their rulebooks belong to their publishers and designers. Meepleaf isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them; it refers to rulebooks to help you play the games you have.
Paid features
If Meepleaf offers a paid membership, it's bought and managed through your Apple ID, under Apple's terms. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your iPhone's Settings. Prices and what's included are shown before you buy.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or stop parts of Meepleaf, and we may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Meepleaf after a change means you accept it.
Ending use
You can stop using Meepleaf and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Disclaimer and limits
Meepleaf is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or CAD $10 if you paid nothing).
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
